KEYBOARDING

CODING

Prerequisite- Keyboarding & Basic Word Processing

 

This middle school course is composed of instructional modules designed to provide hands-on instruction in computer concepts and software applications. The software applications include word processing (Microsoft Word), presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint), spreadsheets (Basic Microsoft Excel).

Students will be using Google Classroom for this course.  No materials are needed unless instructed by the teacher.  Students are responsible for checking Google Classroom every day upon entering the classroom for daily instructions, assignments, turning in assignments, and checking graded assignments.  Please see teacher website for more information regarding these classroom procedures.  


Google Classroom

Students need to check their Canvas every day for classroom instruction, assignments, due dates, upload assignments (turn in assignments), and see graded assignments.  Students know their Canvas account log in information (NCEdCloudIAM).  Canvas can be seen from home.  

 

Quia
Students will take all of their tests and quizzes online in Quia.  Students will have access to all Practice Tests a week before the test.  The students can use their notes and take the Practice tests as many times as they need to in order to understand the material.  The day of the test, the students get one chance to take the test and no notes.
